Units like centimeter or meter in the drawing section

Some users want to build bigger stuff than others and may want to use units like centimeter or meter but Fusion only allows to choose between inch or metric system when it goes to the drawing section. To give more freeness during creating your own cool stuff it would be a nice thing to change this before creating or drawing.

Best regards

It is already possible: Just edit the 'document settings' in the left-handed 'browser' and the units will change.

Nope, thats just in the model section. In the drawing section there is just the option to choose between mm or inch.

Why? The international unit of measurement is the millimetre especially for engineering drawings.

So there is no way to make drawings of things that are e.g. 10 meters big?

I did a lot of drawings of large construction with F360 but in millimeters only.
Fusion 360 is great for electrical substation design, especially ones with complex cable routing systems. But if a client or construction teammate requests drawing units in meters, I have to edit them in AutoCAD which is time consuming.

Cheers for the team considering this feature.

The Units should show as a list for weight, volume, lenght.

The problem is in the table and the drawing sheet too, I don't want to have to change my 3D unit setting to make adrawing to show in KG instead of in gram, this have to be possible to change your mind and adjust from in to mm per exemple, pounds, kg or grams, if you have differrent clients, they may want Imperial or ISO dimensions, it make no sens to have to restart fromn zero a second drawing when it just the units that need to be adjusted.

The Units in the drawing should be separtly managed in each sheet and change later as needed.

Any News on the Topic?

I'm having the same problem.

The Modelling environment lets me change to cm, m and so on, but the drawing will only do inches and mm.

It's for a blueprint of an Apartment and I'm using the modelling to calculate the square meters.

Now I have to make a drawing for the construction Guy's but giving the the measurements in mm (1mm = 0.04 of an inch) is ridiculous.

Same here, I want to use centimeters with only one decimal. No point on more accuracy for wood cabinetry. If I pass all the numbers in mm with two decimals to the shop, the carpenters freak out. Please include variable units in Drawings. Thank you!

Units can be Km, M, cm, mm - Inch, feet, Miles

we should be able to change it in a drawing, no need to restart from zero.

The best can be if we can clone a drawing 1st, then change the units from the cloned drawing, this way, both drawings will be linked to the 3D.

I am looking at the units in drawing, we can read 10 differents request, all of these ideas should be combine in one, the votes are actually spreaded and it look like these ideas are not so much prioritary, but all the request combine will show a totally different situation, units in drawing is not working well and it need a big design fix, we should also be able to clone a drawing to make a different unit version of the same drawing instead off having to restart from zero when the units are not well set when you creat the drawing. The units need to be made from a list mm/m/cm/in/feet that you can change when you want after all.
