Union objects created by Array-Tool/pattern-Tool

I would like the function to directly union the objects created by the Pattern-Tool. For example in this screenshot Fusion creates 49 individual objects which i would like to union to a single one. I was thinking about the same function as the Extrude-Tool has to union the new Extrude to the old object.

The idea behind this is to control the number of tiles by a global parameter so that i can easily change the grid size. Union the created tiles in another step is not really an option because i have to do it manualy which destroys the idea of changing the grid size simply by changing a global parameter.
