First for the main toolbar, it would be nice if it could be changed to tabs, similar to Maya's shelves.
It saves a mouse click. No longer needing to wait, briefly, for the drop down menu to pop up and navigating to the work space you want to use. Simply click on the tab you want to be in.
2.
Custom toolbars.
I noticed it is possible to add tools to the toolbar. It would be to have an empty toolbar that the user can populate with his own presets, keeping the default toolbars... default. Or even creating multiple toolbars.
Since hotkeys are limited and not customizable, having a custom toolbar like this could speed up someones workflow, as they will basically act like a 1 button shortcut instead of needing to navigate multiple dropdown menus.
3.
Tearable menus. Similar to the custom toolbar, however these will be temporary.
As it looks like there is no support for custom hotkeys, it would be nice if you could simply tear off a menu and use it like a temporary toolbar which is always on screen, until closed by the user or the work space has been changed, so it is no longer relevant.
For example when you are in the rendering work space but you have the sketch drop down teared off. Simply close the menu automatically or grey out all the sketch specific tools in the teared off menu.
This is especially handy if there are tools you need to toggle between multiply times, which do not have a default hotkey set.
Like needing to align multiple elements and combining them from the modify dropdown.
Or if you simply want to toggle rendering modes quickly when editing. Instead of needing to click on a small icon, have the dropdown menu appear on screen, navigate to visual styles and select one of the styles, when you just want a quick preview of the model without the edges on it. And then repeating those steps to go back to the previous visual style.
When the 'visual style' dropdown is teared off, you can simply click on the style you want to toggle between. The menu will always be on screen because it has been teared off.
