Trim Solid Command

Trim Solid Command

This is one I came across a while ago, but only just got the time to look on the Ideastation for something similar, but couldn't find anything, so creating a new post.

Essentially, in Fusion 360 you have commands for Split Solid, Split Surface and Silhouette Split. However, in Inventor we have a Split command which gives you three options: Split Face, Trim Solid and Split Solid. I use the Trim Solid option a lot, as a robust way of cutting material away with Work Planes, rather than having to create sketches all the time. For example, where you want to have a partial radius:

It would be great to have a matching option in Fusion 360.

You can do this with Boundary Fill or are you offsetting the plane in the example?

Hi @HughesTooling, thanks for the suggestion and yes the Plane has been offset a height of the bottom, flat face, to the height where the trim solid is required. Effectively the end result would be to trim everything above the plane, in a nice easy way.
