Trace tool path | force entry point w/ closed loop | Tan Extension w/ open loop

The entry point suggestion and tangential extension options work well with the 2D Contour tool path to finish features on our parts when they are 2D. When we need to finish a feature that has a 3D surface, the most effective tool path we have used so far seems to be the Trace. But because there isn't an entry point selection for closed loop or tangential extension option for open loop, we have to go through the exercise of creating a new surface with extended geometry to allow us to completely finish the feature. It would save us a ton of time to be able to simply use the trace, force the entry for closed loops or add a tangential extension for open loops.

I'm running into same issue which causes headaches.

Pass Extension is available on Trace but that does equally both sides.  I have clearance at end of cut (which I need to extend trace 15mm to clear all material but the entry I have no extra clearance.
