Toggle to Show List of Factors Affecting a Dimension

Toggle to Show List of Factors Affecting a Dimension

Hello,

I would like to request a toggle which would show the "List of Constraints" applied to a dimension in order to answer the simple question "WHY is a particular dimension what it is?". The feature would note the targeted dimension and then search for EVERY User-Supplied Dimension, Parameter-Supplied Dimension, Constraint-Applied Dimension, etc and put up a simple-to-understand list of ALL of the potential factors which have gone together to affect the selected dimension. As a secondary idea, add the ability to SELECT one (or maybe more) of the factors from the list to highlight / manipulate / delete / whatever.

Why is this needed? Here is my example (see screenshot below):  I have made a part starting from a sketch. The original base geometry is a center rectangle where the two sides are set by two user parameters in the global parameters list named "Width" and "Height" respectively. Since that time I have added numerous other features, extruded this, push/pulled that, added some holes, etc. Now I have need to make the underlying rectangle a little longer and have changed the value in the global parameters section but the dimension on the rectangle insists it is a "Constrained Dimension". I have spent the better part of the day trying to figure out what is constraining it to no avail. I can click on the dimension but all it says is that its constrained-- I wish there was a way I could tell it to pull up a LIST of whatever has been set for it or is otherwise affecting it so that I could to fix or delete it and solve my problem.

This seems like it ought to be a fairly easy thing to accomplish. Even if the list wasn't "active" to include links to actions. Just knowing what affected the dimension might be enough to go and sort it out.

Thanks for your time and attention! And thank you for a terrific product. I really like Fusion 360.

John
