I think the current texture positioning approach is hard to understand and I am not sure if it is maybe even broken.
1. too many dialog windows.
2. too long load time when opening dialogs
3. the scale tool should be part of the more advanced setting dialog
4. scaling the image to the size of the surface does not postion the texture right
5. using x y offset seems not to help to move the texture centered
6. thus you should be able to drag the texture into postion and scale it into position like the decal tool
I am not new to rendering and find the current tools and workflow confusing and very unproductive.
