T spline loop offset instead of just resize

While trying to model 3D relief like surfaces, I realized it would probably be a quite useful tool to have option of offsetting a T spline loop, instead of only being able to translate, rotate and scale.  This is important for say a complexly curved T spline cylinder extruded along a sketch, and then trying to have the cylinder curve inwards along to z direction.  Scaling one of the T spline loops to be smaller does not really work for a fairly curvy geometry like the letter H attached (I can attach image of problem situation if needed).  I can sometimes get what I'm looking for by creating an offset of the sketch, and using that to Pull the T spline edge loop to it, but I think it would sure be nice to just have a direct offset option for T spline edges.  

 

I am happy that I found for using the awesome CAM on complex 3D reliefs that importing relief meshes and converting to T spline and then solid body works pretty well.

Just want to mention found way to import many more mesh faces (10,000 or more), by importing mesh in "create base feature" mode, then while still in that mode convert directly from mesh to brep.

I'm in favor of this proposal: not only loops but surfaces as well could benefit from better offset (current T-spline 'thicken' will introduce self-intersections in offset surfaces easily.) The various offsetting (sketch, T-spline, BREP) commands offer tools that work well with only very soft curves.  

 

As a work-around in your case, you could try to embed your t-spline in sketch plane, then use offset in sketch and then t-spline extrude. Offset in sketch mode is frail already as well, however.  

 

Also the current T-spline extrusion algorithm from sketch curve does not deal too well with sharper features.

 

I think all of this is related to core CAD engine features in terms of its abilities to approximate NURBS curve and surface offsets. Even the BREP offset - when it allows to offset -  can easily be teased into producing some kinky shapes.   I'm just a beginner and in above my head, so I don't know what the state-of-the-art is and how many of Autodesk's crown jewels will find their way into Fusion 360.  It's probably a 'biggie' question you're touching! Someone else asked what about having an offset functions that just works!  I suspect it isn't that simple but starting with T-splines would be nice.
