I believe Inventor does this. If you right click on an edge to modify it, a settings dialog pops up. The defalut is fillet, but you always have to manually go back and switch to chamfer. It would be great to change this setting in the dialog.
No it means if you press pull an edge, then the dialogue that pops up can be changed from fillet to chamfer without having to escape out and then reselect the edge and choose chamfer.
