Sweep Trajectory Segment Limit?
I would like to sweep a profile along a long continuous multi-segment trajectory and I am finding that I can not select a chain of segments longer than ten? Tried chain selection and individual segment selection but same result. It will not let me select an eleventh segment. Why is this limited?
Digging through this one more it seems to choke on certain section element intersections not necessarily the number of elements in the sweep profile. They can be fully constrained and tangent but still fail to be recognized as contiguous or valid. For example if you mirror a profile and you have a straight segment that terminates at the mirror line and continues on the opposite side,,, fully constrained and co-linear, the sweep will not continue past the mirror line. Anything beyond that point, even if you are able to select additional elements of the trajectory, will make the feature invalid and the feature will not build until to un-select the offensive bits. The work around is obviously to mirror the side of sweep that you can create, but that is a BS fix IMO. This is just a repeatable example... there are also instances of 100% valid/constrained/continuous intersections along a trajectory that fail the same way for not apparent reason. These are not so easy to fix or compensate for. Re-sketching does not always fix either. Might not be actually a problem with the sweep function but a sketcher stability problem.
