Subfolders and grouping in design mode (before component change)

Subfolders and grouping in design mode (before component change)

When working on a new item - I like to keep away from converting to components until I have finalized my design.

Frequently- I have repeating objects and being able to group them so I can just click the folder and carry on would be wonderful.

Unless I missed something - the only way to do this is convert bodies to components, in which case you lose design history (which has saved my butt a number of times by the way).

This would really be great to be able to fold items up and you don't end up with crazy-long list of objects.

if you doing everything inside of a active component you still have all history and parameters

I'd recommend what @daniel_lyall suggested. If you know that your design is going to have multiple components, create an empty one by right clicking on the top node and then activate it and work inside that one. This will organize your timeline nicely. Check out #4 of the 5 things to know about bodies vs components: http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/design-differently/5-things-you-should-know-about-components-and-bodie...
