Standardization of UI

I'm coming from design fields as well as UI/UX design and these days as you all know people started using 3D Printers. I love Fusion 360 from my first sight! Its a lot easier than other engineering softwares. I have advised to all my designer and CAD friends to use it, they also love but they are all having the same issues I'm going to tell you.

Before I used some softwares like Cinema 4D, Maya, Modo, etc. I know they are not 3D softwares for engineering. But I must say that it is quite difficult sometimes to use Fusion 360 in my projects, even if I've gone through many F360 tutorials. If you say why?

• F360 in first glance looks very simple to use because it has simple panels and so on, but as a designer I'm quite surprised to see how its UI looks so SIMPLE and DIFFICULT to use at the same time!!!!!

Can you please integrate or take in front the most used tools like Move/Transform, Rotate and Scale like in other 3D software like this?:  Screen Shot 2018-06-12 at 18.20.10.png Because people who used 3D softwares are already familiar with this habit, and its very handy!

• The second issue is about the scaling/dimensions the objects. When I want to scale an object I have to measure/count the scale like 1:1, I think this is insane, can't you just add dimensions with w:h:l lock tool to this panel? It would be much easier to change the exact dimensions of the objects.

• Third issue is about the SVG importing, all 3D software support the .Ai format, but F360 supports only SVG. Thats ok, I use Illustrator and can save as SVG file format easily. But when I want to import it doesn't import in 1:1 scale, so I have to count the measurements again and again changing the dimensions in Ai then re-importing that SVG file to F360.

• Dimensions of SVG can not be changed under sketching, and its really annoying. It just gives an error. 

• Dimensions when an object selected could be shown on the right bottom, showing width, length and height.

• I think the best software for easy modeling was always Maya, you can take some design solutions from it. Because when I start to modeling in Maya I feel like I'm sculpting the object with my own hands (I don't feel the mouse and the keyboard at all).

• When my internet is gone, and when I launch F360 I can not use it without internet connection. And its annoying mostly when I terribly need some changes in my projects in order to print.

 

I'll be posting other ideas later, but these are my main problems in F360.

Anyway F360 is the best software on the market! Thanks guys for such software!
