sketch tool must have

sketch tool must have

hi this is just a throw it out there that just drives me crazy when drawing a sketch in fusion,  trying to draw off the center of rectangle and there is no tool  to draw with symmetry to both sides of the pull up or down so the math is working out from center and edge,  all it would take is to rework the 3 point rectangle witch is just doing exactly the same task as the 2 point rectangle and not helping. just buy adding a center point to it or moving bottom right corner to the center which would make for a lot less  running a round just to get something sketch with symmetry from center.

Hi @Anonymous, can you achieve what you want using the Centre Rectangle function? This produces a rectangle of specified height and width with a marked centre point and diagonal construction lines in one operation, which makes is easy to reference the centre when adding extra features.

Yes you can us the center rectangle for this function but there is a lot of back tracking to clean up constraints And over drawn lines that are not needed for a simple task that should take 2 second is now at a 5 min clean up just to get the task done just so you can move forward in the sketch.
But for all I know at this point there’s a plugin for new sketch tools …. But just throwing this out there
I am pretty new to this fusion but I can use creo as a example I can draw out the same sketch in creo in less then a sec and in fusion because the sketch Tool is not setup for basic layout needs to work off centers it’s a lot of running around for people new and old to cad layout.

Function is money to some when it comes to time when buying or trying something. But I do see it as necessary to be different that’s WY I Suggested just adding a center point to the 3 point rectangle since you get the same result from the 2 point rectangle other then angle capability and if you watch as you use the 3 point rectangle it would do it { center click, right pull click} now set the height, the dimension line would represent the symmetry needed. Just got to tell the rectangle if set at center constraint to use symmetry
