Retain model orientation when selecting a sketch plane

I hope you are talking about the violent way that F3D changes your viewpoint when you enter a sketch. It drives me crazy, as it seems to choose the new perspective at random and require much re-orientation. A fix to this would be greatly appreciated.

Yes exactly, if the model is symmetrical then you have to check the orientation, otherwise you could be working from the wrong datum.

You can turn off the Autolook at sketch feature in the preferecens that causes this behvior.
