Sketch orientation

I have attached 3 screen shots of this problem. The cut out in the bracket was put in for visual reasons only. You can see in the last screen shot the bracket has re-orientated 180 degrees after selecting the sketch plane. This is a problem as you could start working away, unaware that the model has rotated, ok if your work is equi-spaced around the brackets centre line but not otherwise. When creating a sketch plane the model must remain in the selected orientation.
