The community has been asking for this for a while now. At first the AD response was along the lines of "why would you want to do a stupid thing like like that??!!??!"
But recently There was a teaser comment from AD suggesting that we've been heard and that it would be in an update very soon.
It can be integrated into drawing instead, it is not a problem, but my thought was since sketcher has all the tools and constraints needed, why duplicate them, just use what we have already.
Well if you are like me, you started in a model sketch because that's how you were trained ... then when I started doing a layout/drawing I realized about 3 hours later about the drawing option (sorry, never used it before) SO, that's a reason to convert from sketch to drawing and NOW I wasted 3 hours and have to start over again.... instead of copy/paste or import the sketch file.
It is still on the roadmap, and we will get to it - as you can see on our roadmap we have a lot of work still to do in general on the Drawings workspace. Thanks for your patience.
I too support this request. When converting a sketch to a drawing (which seems a perfectly reasonable request) the majority of lines are solid, with only a small number shown as dotted. So close, yet so far...and so very frustrating. Love to see this as a feature as was hoping to avoid having to get a new piece of software.
