Setup sheet filename slash folder

Setup sheet filename slash folder

With the current setup sheet system, if you have more operations, you need to create individual folders yourself for every operations.

Its quite unpractical, if have more than just a few operations to make setup sheets for.

Why not generate PDF directly and make the PDF filename the same as the TAP filename.

This would help enormously.

I would also prefer that the post processor dialog would have a checkbox "Generate setup Sheet automatically", to enable setup sheet generation together with post processing. In this way, you would be absolutely sure these two very critical files are always in sync.

It  would be pretty handy to have the set up sheets and maybe be in C code  organized and available from inside the fusion 360 app. iOS android.

1.  If you need to order your tools, you could  reference your setup sheets from your phone.

2.  Pick up your tablet, go to the machine and set it up.

Right now, I either push it up to dropbox so I can pull it up on the iPad, or print it out and throw the paper away.

Just tested the May2017 version and generating Setup Sheet for designes with more than one setup is still a problem.

If you have multiple setups in a single design, you cannot easily get Setup Sheets for each individual setup. You cannot also generate setup sheets per setup, in the same folder, as the setup sheet html filename is given from the design name.

If you generate Setup Sheets for the whole Setup, you are warned, but this doesn't fix the real problem, and the generated sheet list the operations as one list, and as such hides the different setups.

I think Setup Sheets are very important.

Still a problem in December 2019. Funny since it would not require any magic, hardly a couple of lines of code, to get at least the setup name appended to the project name so that the sheets generated in one folder are unique.
