Select Tangent Extension Lines for Ordinate Dimension Origin

Select Tangent Extension Lines for Ordinate Dimension Origin

The ordinate dimension tool in its current state is missing what I consider to be a significant and required feature: the ability to select tangent lines for the origin.  There are times when one wants to use a projected origin for the start of an ordinate dimension set.  See the image below.

This point is currently not selectable in Fusion.  I would love to see this functionality soon, and not just for circular features, but any feature that one could project from.  Fusion currently allows one to do a similar thing if there are two edges with a fillet between them, but I would like to see additional enhancements to the tool.

Clearly a nice convenience feature.

But one can do this already using horizontal/vertical constraint "construction" lines, or did I misunderstand your intention?

This is possible now, but it's a little annoying.

Create a point (A) near the bottom of the circle and horizontal/vertical constrain it to the center point.

Create a point (B) near the area you want to select and constrain it horizontal/vertical to the point A.

Constrain point B to be colinear with the flat bit on the left of the circle.

Another option is a tangent-constrained line from the perimeter of the circle with one endpoint colinear with the left flat bit.  That would be more intuitive, as you could see why that point was there when construction lines were turned on.

@ElizabethGreene & @Anonymous,

I get that one could create geometry that would allow one to snap to the point in question.  My point (and request) is that Fusion should be able to do this on its own.
