Section analysis in render mode

Could you please make section analysis available in render mode ?

When we want to render the inside of an assembly, we have to cut through everything while we should be able to have section analysis available !

Com'on guys this is a simple one...

@odolyte, actually it isn't that simple or we would have done it 

The section analysis tool uses clipping planes (and some magic) to make the sections.  

In order to do a photoreal rendering we would need to make actual geometry.

We have this in our backlog, don't know the release date at the moment.

Couldn't a tiny script do the job as poor man's solution?  It would work like this:

• gather and duplicate all visible things: bodies and meshes with current applied appearances into a new temp component (top level)
• in this component, use the plane and direction of the active section analysis to cut each thing and discard, presumably this would be robust operation
• make temp component visible and active and hide originals

This wouldn't make any hatching, though. The script should restore the original visibility when the temp component is deleted.
