Save sketches with flat pattern DXF

Save sketches with flat pattern DXF

When you export a flat pattern, e.g., for laser cutting, sometimes you want to add a single line - a cut with the laser, e.g., to facilitate bending. Right now you can make sketches on top of a flat pattern but you cannot export them together into a single dxf. And to merge them in a 2D CAD program afterwards is a hassle and error prone. Would be nice if you could select sketches to export to same file.

In CAM you can export multiple parts - flat pattern and sketches to same DXF using the DXF post file, but then you loose the bend lines information.

Having worked for some months on a project of sheet metal, where I need several additional laser cuts in addition to cutting out the shapes it is REALLY annoying there is NO robust way to add lines to the exported DXFs. Please - couldn't we get that improved?

1) Sketches move relatively to the flat patterns, so you often have to redo them even when you haven't changed the sheet metal part

2) You have to export flat pattern and sketches separately and then merge them in a 2D cad program afterwards

3) Constructions lines are also exported with sketches, which is a pain, since you have to remove them afterwards in a 2D CAD program

Am I really the only person having this problem?
