Save Component to Data Panel

Save Component to Data Panel

Have the ability to copy a component to the data panel (NOT save as). This is extremely usefull when designing top down and creating a component that will be used in other assemblies/designs. If this is implimented, the user would be able to create a component with one design and use in others, but when a changed is made to the component, the component will update in all other instances.

To clarify,

I'd like to see an option where, If I designed a component (or inserted a mcmaster part) in a design, that I would like to use in other designs, That I could save the component to the data panel lets say in a folder labeled (common parts). The component would then be a link in any design in is currently used in. This way if I made a change to the component I know It will change in every design it is used in.

The current method of achieving what I propose is doing a save as to the data panel, then removing and reinserting the component into the design to achieve that linking capability.

Hope this makes sense.
