Selecting variations of a tool (such as 2-pt, 3-pt rectangle, and center rectangle) can be a nuisance. I find it difficult to search through the full dropdown menu, I try to avoid putting multiples of a tool on the toolbar or shortcuts menu, and I always try to keep the sketch palette closed to maximize my workspace.
It could be cool to right click on a tool to open a menu of all its variations for quick selection. Since right-clicking anywhere on the tool panel only allows you to reset it, this addition could be a simple way to improve quick tool access.
