Right click for orbit & disable gestures

This idea has been posted—and archived—multiple times. I hate gestures. Some users swear by them, but I never use them. Telemetry may be signalling Autodesk I constantly use gestures, but what's really happening is I trigger gestures accidentally. It happens very easily whenever I deliver a slightly shaky right click. I find this very distracting. I think a lot of us would appreciate an option to turn this off and perhaps use the RMB for orbiting instead. I don't think this is unreasonable because orbiting is by far the most frequently performed action in any 3D modelling software, closely followed by panning. Thanks!!

I too noticed this was rather confusing coming from other software and followed the instructions to change the shortcuts to that of TinkerCAD. However, I have noticed a different yet desirable behavior than mentioned above, and it offers all the functionality most users are asking for. With TinkerCAD selected as the Pan, Zoom, Orbit shortcut type, you can orbit by holding RMB (holding left SHIFT + CMB does the same), open the context menu with a simple RMB click, pan by holding CMB, and open the radial menu by holding left SHIFT while clicking RMB then releasing (you get gestures if you continue to hold both and drag). I feel this is a perfect happy medium and fits all my needs. I also noticed that single clicking RMB which brings down the context menu cannot be recovered from by again clicking and holding down RMB to orbit...you must left click elsewhere and then retry orbiting by holding RMB, which seems like a bug to me. Otherwise, I am pretty happy so thanks for the tip! (ver 2.0.5790)

Quick update, the 28 Sep 2018 update brings TinkerCad mouse mapping to the options! This means we can now orbit with the RMB.

I personally don't care about gestures or the radial menu. I would like the right mouse button for panning and optionally for context menu. Mouse wheel for zooming and middle mouse button for rotation. For tool selection I either use the shortcut if known/available or the s-key or maybe sometimes the toolbar. I guess it would be easier to make the whole thing customizable.

Just wanted to say that gestures continually disrupt my workflow as well.
