I have been busy recently and not had much time to use fusion, so every time I open it, it runs an update, but I must say, you guys are forging ahead and the improvements are superb. Since the first comment regarding tolerances, you have added them to the dimensions, also section and detailed view are great.
With regards to the Drawing border/title block, What would be really nice would be to right click on the title block, enter a background or edit mode for that block only and have the ability to modify, add and remove lines to create boxes into which text and custom fields / model properties can be added. while in the editing mode to be able to place an image or a company logo in one of the boxes.
I would like to add general text and notes in the border including surface finish, general tolerancing ( Holes, chamfer, centres, angles, deburr, unless otherwise stated) etc. and be able to have text of different sizes, then right click, ok, to return to the drawing with a saved background border and title.
one last thing, A Datum and Geometric tolerance symbols in the annotation tools would be absolutely wonderful.
Thanks for the feedback, and happy to hear we're heading in the right direction.
Your suggestion for editing the drawing's border and titleblock sounds pretty good. I'm assuming once you've modified the border and titleblock that you'd want some way of saving them so that both new and existing drawings could use them. Would you expect new drawings to use them automatically? Or would you prefer it to be optional just in case you have a few to choose from?
We've had a lot of requests for geometric tolerance and datum symbols, so I can safely say that we are currently working on these. Unfortunately, they won't make it into the next release, but look out for them in the following release.
Thanks,
Andrew
