Replace tool description BODY LENGTH to TOOL EXTENSION

Body length 

This description is confusing for the new user.

Lets break it down as new users are learning this software. What they are probably assuming when reading the descriptions.

If you think about it, Body which means an "entity" the entire entity being a whole.

This would make the programmer think they are filling out an over all length of the tool.

If that description was changed to TOOL EXTENSION and it auto populated the set up sheet with TOOL EXTENSION.

This would be a huge benefit for the set up machinist.

And this will work across the board with Lathe as well.

You could call it tool extension for a full carbide tool maybe but for a inserted mill(the thing you call the body) it doesn't extend from anywhere. That would truly be confusing if you ask me.

Main problem is that there is no longer a graphic display in the Fusion Library.

Look at these in HSMWorks that would help a lot of people I think:

You are correct

You could call it anything as long as there was a graphic display giving a visual reference.

And in Fusion when you cursor over the entry box it will highlight what it is talking about. which helps.

But on the Set Up Sheet it does not have any visual reference.

Ultimately a visual reference would solve this issue.

But I assumed it was an "easier fix" to change the text rather than to redesign a graphic display.

So I went with a word phrase that would be understood.

Even the inserted face mill should be called tool extension in my opinion.

Because the actual tool body on that face mill is about 1/2 the size of what the graphic display is showing.

The other 1/2 is the tool holder itself.

This is especially critical in multi axis machining.

Confusion and debate over a tool extension is the difference between a beautiful running job or a damaged fixture or tool holder or worse an expensive CNC machine.

Body Length could be more descriptive. Especially since the amount sticking out of the holder is not the Length of the body.  It is an Extension of the tool sticking out of the holder.  But I will say "Extension" also makes me think of a holder that sticks out of a holder, to extend the tools reach.

I have seen it called "Tool Projection" as in the amount projecting from the bottom of the holder. I think this is a little more specific. Or "Projection Amount" would work also.  But I could live with Extension.

When selected, Fusion does show the Flute Length, Shoulder Length and Body Length, when they are selected. But it does not show the Overall length. That would complete the visual reference for a new user.
