There is nothing wrong with the create drawing option, but it doesn’t allow creating individual line drawings (vector based) that can be used in other applications like Adobe Illustrator or Indesign similar to further work with (e.g. creating installation guides).
We would like to be able to generate isolated illustrations, not a technical drawing that contains 2D views.
So really the problem is the export from the drawing workspace as a DWG is not usable. You can create all the views you show above in a drawing and export as a DWG (the DWG does contain lines) but getting that into Illustrator might be a problem if you don't have AutoCad to convert to DXF.
Can you use the export PDF option? I can open the PDFs in Rhino and they contain lines\curves.
Here's an example of a PDF opened in Rhino as curves\lines. If you want some help with this start a thread in the design forum. You can create views of the part from any angle not just 2d.
The problem is that technical drawing only able to show the standard views (i.e. top/ front/ side/ corners, etc), there is no freedom to render wireframe effect in any other perspective or camera angle, unlike the render mode.
I do also have the exact same issue right now. One of the problems, as mentioned, is that you can't create views in from other angles when making drawings. Also, you can't create drawings in perspective (at least I can't figure out how).
