"Edge" extension for round objects

Hello Community and Devs,

we have the follwing problem and dont see any solution for this in the current Version of Fusion 360:

We want to define a notch on an shaft, this is no problem with the left example (B-B), but with the right example (A-A) it is not possible to define the right measurement. This is due to the lack of an "background".  It would be wondful to just add an extension of the round shape, so i can define the right measurement.

I'm sure other Fusion 360 Users had this problem also.

If you need a workaround, make a sketch in the design and save then make it visible in the drawing. Drawing tools for the 2d drawing workspace are promised but for now you need to sketch in the actual model design. Here's an example.

The way I would do this is to define a parameter e.g. ShaftDiameter = 30 mm

You can then dimension out from the centreline to ShaftDiameter/2 - 4.1mm

Already figured out something like this, but it would be much nicer if a function for this would exist in the drawing space and not in the model space.

Ah, yes of course, I was thinking of the model creation process rather than drawing.  Yes, it would be a nice feature.  A work-around would be to dimension from the circle centre.  (This might even be closer to the design intent.  The machinist can then measure across the shaft to the groove bottom - should get actual diameter/2 + 14 mm).

Drawings in Fusion seem rather short of customisation.  Little annoyances include the fact that you cannot choose between diameter or radius,  you cannot create leader text to a region (it always has to point to a line in the model) and you cannot draw additional 2D lines e.g. to illustrate the height of your object above ground level.

If you're using the multi dimension tool you have the option to pick Rad\Diameter on the right click menu. You can't change it after it's created though.
