It would be nice if we were able to create probes, engraving tools, and indicators in the tool library. Even though a probe and indicator may not be usable in the program, some of us like keeping track of all of our tool numbers in the library rather than having to maintain a seperate "excel file" to keep track of tool numbers. These tool types (other than the engraving tool) could be marked as unusable or simply just reference, but would nice to be able to have a spot in the tool library list
I'm assuming you meant take something like a lollipop end mill and name it as a probe. I do that now, the only problem is that it will show up when filtering tools by operation type.
One issue with create dummy tools is that you can't test for the tool type in the post processor. The probe tool type was in the hsmworks help file but never implemented.
