pipe routing

pipe routing

having some interface similar to the pipe routing tool in autocad Plant 3D would be an amazing addition to fusion 360.

Currently it is tedious to create and define piping in fusion. Each pipe od, id and fitting needs to be created as a new custom part. This should be parametric like it is in PTC Creo piping and Autocad plant piping. The flanges, pipe wall thickness and fittings/components should already be fully defined. This allows the designer to focus on the route. It further lends itself to a usable bill of material referencing the standard dimensions for pipe at certain pressures and materials, say schedule 80 class 300 pipe.

pipe can be used for many home projects such as sprinkler layout, modern furniture (think chipotle threaded pipe tables and stools), garage conduit layout, custom arduino garden layout, french drain.

Hi there and greetings from germany,

iam full agree with this idea!

The circumstance, that there is no comfortable way to do pipe-routing/piping (large pipings like in an Plant) is an big point, why our company till now not buy an licence for fusion360 to do our future Projects with fusion360.
I've been using fusion360 for private projects on my DIY mill recently, and I'm excited about the simple but powerful features of Fusion360.
Therefore, I would like to use this software also professional, but I still miss exactly this function.

I also would like to see this feature in Fusion 360. Like it is done in Inventor.

If this is going to take the place of Inventor in the future it will need to be implemented or Businesses/Companies are going to go else where for there 3D modeling software.
