Oculus Rift

Hi,

This is a crazy idea.

I got one Oculus Rift DK2.

I would like to interface this stereoscopic vr display to analyze my models created in Fusion360.

Probably you know that the Oculus Rift DK2 works as a second monitor. You could switch the F360 framebuffer to the OR input to get a stereoscopic output.

Imagine to design a cockpit or whatever object you want and evaluate it with a vr headset.

regards

Hello,

Is there a way to design an actual model with the Oculus? I'm having a hard time with this.

Thank you,

Gery

Seeing the CV1 specs (occulus touch for movements) as well as the amount of pre-orders, I'd say supporting this type of hardware would be a huge hit and would make working with Fusion360 even more fun!!!   https://developer.oculus.com/

Hi Gabriele,

We worked on a solution for this 🙂

Check out ENTiTi at www.wakingapp.com or use our new Plugin for Fusion 360:

https://apps.autodesk.com/FUSION/en/Detail/Index?id=2506286817804633532&appLang=en&os=Win64

With this you can seamlessly check out your models in AR or VR in just a few minutes.

Let me know what you think about it! 🙂

Hi,

it would be great if there is a much simpler approach like a simple red-cyan view to see the objects in real 3D.
