No ability to snap lines onto another line

I'd like to see a way in which you could draw on geometry and lines but still have a way of snapping to points along them? Maybe implement a keyboard shortcut or option to autosnap? I'm not sure if there is a way of doing this already but i find it quite frustrating when i'm designing to practice or simply for other people.

Let me know if this is good or bad i'm pretty new and open to criticism 🙂
