I have a round part that got rotated to an odd angle.
I want to realign its own axes with the overall project planes. (Right now it's because I want to move it in project grid space and the Move arrows don't give me that option - I know that's files as a suggestion somewhere in here.)
The Move tool will happily move it any number of 5-degree increments. But I don't want another odd absolute angle.
There is no equivalent to the Point-to-point move for angles. It would help a bit.
Desired Change:
Allow the user to modify the basis for snapping Move rotations (and linear for that matter) to the Parent or Project space co-ordinate system.
For example, by holding <SHIFT> or <CTRL> or <ALT> down at the same time.
By Parent I mean that if the component is in a subassembly, the subassembly's co-ordinate space may be the most relevant other system.
The parent would be the porject if there are no extra levels. Possibly one modifier would force the Project system, and another the Parent.
It would also be OK for the Move dialog to have a chooser for the co-ordinate system to move/rotate in and snap/grid to use for the operation. The choose could list e.g. Component, subassembly (by name), (... next higher subassembly.. etc.), Project as the choices.
