Multi-Axis Swarf Machining Direction

Multi-Axis Swarf Machining Direction

It would be nice to add another feature to the Multi-Axis Swarf where the Machining Direction can also be changed. This would allow the user to choose if they want to use climb-milling or conventional milling to follow the surface that is machining around. With the current setup I am having to select different faces until the arrow is setup to mill clockwise around the profile, which would result in climb milling. Also, the direction option that is offered only allows the choice of what side of the surface to machine, so having the additional feature will help set the desired result in stone when using the swarf command.

Hi @Anonymous,

What you are looking for can already be done.

THe arrow shows the direction it will be cutting in and the machine other side shows which side of the face.

So with the both of these you can machine both directions on both sides of the selected faces.

I have made a screencast to show.

As @Laurens-3DTechDraw said, this is currently possible. Admittedly, it's not as clear as a switch between climb vs conventional, so that could be a potential UI improvement in the future.
