Kinda looked into the mirroring of components a bit more and I´m kinda missing the whole point of it, when the joints doesn´t get mirrored as well.... it´s basically just a move and copy- which in its turn is quicker to do.
So. after a great deal of trial and error I found a way to mirror joint info ,sort of :(.
First (like so many things) turn off the timeline.
Now when you MIRROR it wont ask you what type of objects you want to mirror.
Next select the target sub assembly from the browser, then Mirror as normal.
EUREKA! it works...err Not so much. now watch your mirrored sub asm. go nuts. This (I think) is because it also mirrors aka reverses any joint offsets or joint constraints. Which with me, is more work than not mirroring at all.
