Measure tool - add individual delta XYZ checkboxes

It would be handy to be able to toggle on and off the individual delta X, Y & Z measurements so you can see the dimension you want in a crowded space. If we had a checkbox beside Delta X/Y/Z in the Measure tool to show or hide them, it would let us remove any unnecessary clutter and more easily find the dimension we need.

For example, in the screenshot the distance I care about is the one I have manually listed as 1.55, which is the delta Y value in green. The 4 arrows (three coloured plus black) are usually crammed in together so they overlap and you need to zoom in quite a lot to see the measurement you want. It's not exactly obvious that the values in the pic are 7.661 overall, X=1.307, Y=-1.55 & Z=7.338.

Displaying the labels in the Measure tool as the colour of the dimensions on the part would also help, but checkboxes seem like an easy thing to implement given you already have one to enable all 3 or not.

Adding the ability to measure normal or shortest distance from a point, line or plane to another line or plane would save a lot of hunting for points to find the distance, for instance where I put the manual dimension 1.55...

I don't understand why the xyz delta only appears sometimes.

I find myself constantly unable to get the measurement I want with this feature.

@Garret_H Delta XYZ won't appear for measurements between planes or lines, only points. It's one of the annoyances with the measure tool that is the subject of many Ideastation requests.

I use the Measure tool quite frequently. It is frustrating to not get the results displayed which are there but not being used.

Three things I would like to see:

1) XYZ delta option ALWAYS available. Ghis should be easy to display since the data is already there.

2) Use Measure from the CENTER of the circle, not just the perimeter.

3) Allow Measure to pickup hidden features such from bodies relative to each other when one is directly behind the other. You can see the feature but you can't select it.

"2) Use Measure from the CENTER of the circle, not just the perimeter."

When you use the measure command ckeck the box that says "show snap points" this lets you snap to the center of a circle.
