Master Tool Library sync

Master Tool Library sync

Similar to what is outlined here. It would be great if when selecting a tool from a library such as the cloud library, it maintained that link instead of moving a copy of it into a part specific library. This would be helpful for when you need to adjust a tool's feeds/speeds across all previous parts/setups.

Me and my boss dicussed exactly this earlier today and and had just the exemple mentioned in the linked thread ("My biggest concern is that if someone reduces the stick-out on a tool, updates the master library (and the CNC machine) then I go to run an program with old tool data (ie the old stick out) then I'm risking a collision.")

We have a "master" library with our "standard-tooling"  that, of course, is something that evolves over time. The tools we consider as standard today might be changed to something else in a couple of months. We maybe reduced the stick-out, replaced a endmill to another one with shorter flute-lengt etc.
The problem emerges if we then open a program for a part we made  a year ago where half of the tools are "standard" (but not the correct one).

If there was a possibility to have tools linked to the master-library everything could be automagically updated with correct data. Instead of having to edit every program you ever made with the tool you just replaced

A bonus is that you only need to fill in the product-id, vendor etc in one place if you didn't do it when the tool was created, instead of having to open upp the tool library, browse to the "same" tool  to get acess to that data
