make grid snap usable also when on a grid line a projected line rests

it seems Fusion cannot snap to the grid when along a grid is also a projected line from a different sketch.

then Fusion can only snap to that projected line ...

to be able to snap to both one has to draw on the grid a perpendicular line starting from a grid point onto the projected line

so you can find the intersection between the two lines which would be then a grid point/intersection.

More generally - the snaps should always work (they have a habit of randomly deciding not to at inopportune times)

it makes no sense to overwrite the grid snap when the a line is on the grid as well.

unfortunately i can only vote once. i'd vote +100 for better and more reliable snapping. but we already said that a years running more  ago...

Ditto on the 100x votes. I'm not going to fish around for it but I know that I've put in more than one idea for this before and I've seen at least a few others - if all of those votes were combined, I'd bet we'd easily be over the threshold (though I'm still of the opinion that there should be a rational decision maker in charge who doesn't need to see votes to fix obvious bugs).

Yeah I agree. Some things feel rushed not thought through or even well tested. Then others like the joint system are fantastic. I get the feeling ad focuses on cool stuff first before finishing a good foundation sometimes.

Single most iritating thing with fusion.  I have to add extra construction lines or use the dimension tool to achieve that same result.

Less annoying to me than crashing but definitely up there and I've done the same work-around 🙂
