Did you mean:

make files editable while syncing

make files editable while syncing

make a new document

make a drawing

close and save it

realize you need to add something

so open the document

Fusion will tell you this:

Screen Shot 2015-01-14 at 10.29.35 AM.png

I waited few minutes till I had enough went offline and then simply edited the file, went back online and let it sync.

A file like some lines should take few seconds to upload but not make a designer wait minutes.

So maybe while syncing simply stop it when you want to re-open the file.

and let it sync again once you close it.

Yeah. If Fusion saves to the cloud every time, this has to be addressed. The cloud can't be an impediment to action. If you're preping for a review or something, minutes count.

Thanks

Yes, this is a performance issue that we are aware of. There is a project we're working on that is digging into ways to come up with a fix for this, but is not that easy achieve. When a new design is save, the upload itself indeed takes only a few seconds, but it also goes through a series of other procedures such as it being translated, getting a thumbnail populated, and then finally seeing it updated.

File sync and editor should not be so tighly corellated. Sharing may be disabled while the backend processing happens, but the design creator should have access to the newly created design at all time. This is especially true for heavy designs that can take hours to become available.
