The goal for Fusion360 should not simply be to be able get a job done given an unlimited amount of time and effort, but rather to be an efficient tool for professionals to finish designs and manufacture them with the least number of errors.
The current behavior of path selection for CAM leads to a large number of errors because the identification of inside vs. outside is unclear. While this determination can be made by radically zooming into a design, this approach leads to excessive number of errors because the direction is not easily identifiable on physically large designs or those with a large number of paths.
Instead, I suggest using something that can be seen at a glance on complicated with hundreds of paths, i.e. arrow direction or color. The use of location is problematic because of the size of the arrow on small cuts made the location of the arrow difficult to determine.
Attached is a screenshot showing an example of the confusing path selection.
