Look at is a great way to be able to create a view normal to a surface. I'd actually like a faster way to do that also, but this is close. But I need to be able to control the view. First, the surface is facing the correct direction, why does it sometimes look at the surface from the Back? That just seems like a bug/mistake on your part.
But the other is, it often flips the camera Z direction 180 from what I'd want it. That's not a deal breaker, because since it's orthographic I can just flip it over. But it's a bit more comfortable, and saves time, if the view is actually what I need it to begin with.
If you Really want to save me some time, let me create a view and just click a single point on a surface, then choose either a second point, surface, or origin plane to describe the camera's world up. Also, I'd like to be able to choose Mid points when doing that. You're only letting me select vertexes. Every option I can think of, takes a few steps to create a point in the middle of a surface edge so I can snap to it for creating a view.
