Keep CAM post configuration file settings when updating

When I went to post-process a toolpath in the latest update of Autodesk, the the dropdown .cps file I normally use (grbl.cps) was replaced with the generic Acromatic config. I only noticed this right before running the gcode during a sanity check.

This is kind of dangerous, y'all. My machine doesn't like acromatic and tends to print enormous circles about twice the size of the machine's work area when it reads it. This makes for a very sad CNC machine, so it'd be much appreciated if you could keep the post process config the same in between updates.

Thanks!

Hello smartin015,

Great to hear your feedback.  Our CAM Team is aware of this, but if you still have that post for the grbl.cps, you can always add it to the directory with the other posts.  Let me know if this will help, as well as if you need assistance with this.

Here are the locations for the Posts:

C:\Users\<userid>\AppData\Local\Autodesk\webdeploy\production\<FusionBuildId>\Applications\CAM360\Data\Posts

Best,

-Curtis
