Issues with locked purple sketch points

Issues with locked purple sketch points

I'm often having major frustration with the logic behind the locked purple sketh points.  In my current model I have a 3d sketch build with various planes and have modeled many pipes over this sketch.  Now I want to adjust the sketch's points in 3d space, but they are now locked and I have no way to tweak my model as needed.   I would be forced to start over and rebuild the pipes.  That's not good.

I understand they are locked because they are projected from other parts of my model or sketches.  But in my particular case, that was a starting point.  Now I want to move them.  Can we have a way to unlock their dependency on the parent, and make them independent objects?  That would be GREAT!

I think my workflow uses more projected geometry than most people's because I run into this a lot.

As a solution, I propose keeping the locked geometry and making new, unlocked, geometry when someone tries to do something that's forbidden by the locking.

Hi,

have you tried to use the Break Link command.

Right click on the Projected line, and in the context list, select Break Link command.

Then you can edit the line freely.

thanks,

It's a work-around but pretty kludgy.

Please fix this! I'm just learning the software. I have never had anger issues in my life, but I'm developing some.
