I have fixture setups in a separate design. I often bring these into my part models by the "Insert into Current Design".
I have the stock material modeled to the fixture (dovetails), which I easily modify sizing by using parameters.
The CAM for machining the dovetails is already created in the original fixture design. However when I insert it into the current design of the model, the CAM doesn't go along with it.
I'd prefer to keep all CAM relations in the actual part file, rather than separate.
So I guess what I'm asking if there is a reason why CAM tool paths don't follow a 'insert into current design', and if it can be added..
