I would like to be able to take an individual component from a design and insert a link to it in another design without having to save that component into a separate design. Currently I can Copy / Paste New, which will not generate a link or I have to make a new design file out of the component I wish to link.
UI-wise, "Paste New" could ask what to do or you could add a "Paste Linked Component" right after "Paste New".
My design will have a number of variables and other relationships between components, which I would like to keep in a single design file, but the resulting components need be combined in various ways to create assemblies in another design.
