Improvements to the Measure tool

1) When measuring a point to point or object to object distance, provide the X, Y, and Z offset in world space in addition to the shortest distance. 

2) Have the Measure tool generate snaps as the Joint tool does- so if you want to measure the distance between the center point of a cylinder, say, and another point you can do so without needing to create additional construction features.

There is no argument that the second one is not implemented.  That is why I stated, "I am changing this to Implemented because we have provided a solution for the idea posted in #1”.  When multiple ideas are stated in one Ideastation post it is impossible to track which idea the votes are for.  Yes, we cannot measure to the center of a circle and the other four that you mentioned.  We have put the ideas from #2 in our backlog, however work has not started on them yet.  As you mentioned it is important for us to track what is not done, it is also critical to track what we have done.

OK, that makes sense.  I have re-posted the part that is not implemented. 

I have run across this before, where an idea has several closely related aspects. They make sense to post together, but may not all be implemented with the same priority. That would be an argument for an editing or branching function in the idea station.  Or perhaps a tag that says "partially implemented" with a link to the split off aspect.

When measuring spheres it would be nice to get a diameter as well. Right now we just get area

That's probably where comments should go, as this idea having an Implemented status means it won't be followed as much by Autodesk staff.
