Did you mean:

improve off-set for curves

improve off-set for curves

offset lines is working fine but with curves you loose the fit points it basically creates geometry that I hardly can work with.

I cannot sculpt it, point snap does not work and such - specifally when offset and needing to adjust the curve this is a dead-end

because extend also does not work with the off-set curve.

here is an example:

check the blue line, in Alias I can offset the lines easily, the curves I would offset with the same geometry as I do not need 100% the same result

for a snapping mechanism and then the ends of the offset curves I could extend over the linear offsets from the head.

So this would be a good opportunity to stress again the need of tools like: fit rebuild and CV curves. Then we can extend those offset curves.

Here is a screeny about how I would do this in Alias:

I should write a macro for myself that upvotes everything you request after you post it.

For this one.  I would settle for offsets retaining the dimension value when it is applied.  Also important to be able to edit the value after words.  The way it works now you have to deminsion and re constrain the sketch after the offset is created.

It would be really nice if it actually saved and displayed the offset as a constraint that you could go in and edit. Once you set the offset you can't modify that offset so I delete the offset and recreate it. This is a royal PITA.
It should also fully constrain the offset. You can make an offset and then go move things around and could do it without even realizing it.

I agree, offset needs work.  I saw another post from you on offset which I will include in future consideration.
