Hover over design file in data panel should display full file name

Our files often share similar names with only a few different characters at the end however are file names can get pretty long and are not fully displayed in the data panel.  Currently the only way I cant find out which file to correctly open is right click>rename, which then displays the full file name.  It would be great if you could hover over the file and a pop up with with full file name would be displayed.  See attached image for an example of how our file names are cut off.

Also worth noting is that, like many people, we use a project name at the beginning of the part names. So when I look at the data panel I usually see just the project name repeated own the collumn.

Hovering would be good, but I would like to see two lines of text allowed for part names, there seems to be plenty of room.

Agreed! It is so frustrating to locate a specific file that has nearly the same name but a different numeral suffix, like 3DModelLongName_v3. With out a name popup its so difficult to identify the right file.

Please implement this suggestion.

Ya, this is kinda a big one for me too. A simple hover over with full name would be very helpful.

Would love to see this implemented soon, seems like an easy one.

I went searching for this solution and found this post, I would very much like this as well.

I'm actually pretty surprised this is still not a thing. I would also love to see this asap

I agree that a hover-over action displaying the full project name for long names would be extremely helpful. Came to the forum to post on exactly this issue.

Is this really hard to implement? It's super annoying to have to open a design just to know which one it is. I really hope this gets implemented soon.
