Global / local parameters

Create distinction between local variables within a component and global (overwriting) variables within an assembly or higher level hierarchial component ie. at least the ability to declare global variables and then refer to the values from the local variables within a component. This is the parameter version of the projected master sketch.

I definitely want this. Something else I would like to see is the ability to create User-Specified Default parameters. There are a number of things that I use on just about every single design that would be really nice to have automatically included when I create a new drawing. Even if I need to go change the value for the specific design, it's nice to already have it available and not have to remember to go create it every time.

Sounds a bit like a set of nrw component creation templates. When the new component dialog pops up asking for a name, it could also use a drop down list to ask for a base template. The templates in the list could be user configurable via text files and also define whether the parameters are defaults for globally accessible values or just locals.
