It would be a great advantage to be able to freeze/release design data (3D models and drawings e.g. for manufacturing a prototype) in a defined status that is documented and can be referenced afterwards. Furthermore it would be beneficial if the frozen status of the 3D-model can be taken over automatically in the drawing sheet title block revisions field.
Agreed. Completing an engineering release/ engineering change process is pretty fundamental, but I can't find any information on how to go about it (after a fairly brief search, admittedly).
