Font Preview and Arrow functionality

Font Preview and Arrow functionality

I'd love to see a preview of the font when adding text to a design. I love how Adobe previews their font, by having the word Sample in each font. Another nice functionality in Adobe products is that you can just highlight any font and use the arrow keys to tab through the list, and it updates on screen as each font is arrowed through.

This is a simple but useful feature, please implement it!  One should be able to arrow through the list of fonts and see the text change to that font.  The current method of select and re-select is tedious and annoying.

The majority of our current/upcoming work involve a high amount of engraving, this feature would be a great time saver from a modeling aspect. as of right now, we keep a paper catalog that we can flip through.. but it still isn't nearly as efficient as being able to scroll through the list of fonts and having a live preview on the work piece. would love to have this functionality.

Sandy

You can preview fonts when defining Text Styles. Type in 'ddstyle' at the command prompt and you'll get a dialogue box that allows you to create your text styles, assign fonts, and preview them.

Great idea. As an alternative, the font name could be shown using the font itself to save screen real estate. Apple's Mac OS Pages app screen shot included as an example...
